When you click a GIF in Google Images, you may copy a redirect or a preview URL—not the real GIF file. For reliable downloads, you need the direct URL (ideally ending with .gif).
Steps (works most of the time)
- Click the GIF result and open the hosting page.
- Right-click the GIF and choose “Open image in new tab”.
- Copy the URL. If it’s a direct
.giflink, paste it into GIF Downloader.
If you can’t get a direct file URL
Use webpage extraction: paste the hosting page URL into GIF Downloader and select Extract from Webpage.
